Description

Group Facilitation Skills-Part Two

Working with groups can be an excellent way to engage people in learning, support, self-awareness and creating connection. This workshop will focus on a number of aspects of facilitating groups. The workshop will be a mixture of theory and practical activities to help you feel confident in running your group.

The areas we will cover:

  1. Further exploration of facilitating the dynamics of a group. We will refresh and further explore ideas around power, emotion, conflict and diversity in groups and how to actively work with them.
  2. We will look at various ways to structure and plan group work. Within this we will consider differences between therapy groups, support groups, personal development groups and learning groups.
  3. We will explore being creative within groups and how we feel about our own creativity.
  4. We will consider self-care as a facilitator in order to practice in our roles into the future.

This workshop will be facilitated in a relaxed, informative and experiential way. I will also share my own experiences and learning from groups. Please come prepared to share and learn from others!
